CHRISTMAS STOCKINGS

I had some old wool blankets, wool plaid shirts and felt that they used to make their stockings. They drew their design first on paper, acutal size, and colored them. I used their drawings for patterns to cut their designs in felt. They used the whip stitch to sew the stockings and do some applique. I just love their stitching!

OLD SWEATER TABOGENS...My heart melts when I see every stitch on these hats...each a work of ART!!!

I bought old 100 percent wool sweaters at Goodwill. I washed them in hot water and dryed them..."felting". I cut triangle panels. The kids picked 6 wool panels for their hats. They used the simple whip stitch to make their tabogens. Added buttons and appliqued flowers, hearts and stars to their finished hat. I love their hats!!!
